On the 14th June 2019, we released our very first single, ‘Little Bird’. This is the title track from our four song EP, due to be released in September. For those following our journey, you’ll know that it’s been far too long since we released new music, so we have been so excited to share this with you.
‘Little Bird’ is a simple song rooted in the themes of purpose and identity. It’s the Creator singing to the created… saying, you are made with purpose. You are made to fly. You have your own song to sing, and it’s unique, valued and beautiful. “When I spoke out the sky, I saw you fly.” This song is dedicated to everyone who has ever felt in the middle of an identity crisis. I’m sure one way or another, we’ve all been there. For Mac and I, we find our identity in what our Creator says about us…. we are all the Little Bird.
⬇️This is beautiful and it is written for YOU … ❤️
“You formed my innermost being, shaping my delicate inside and my intricate outside, and wove them together in my mother’s womb. I thank you, God for making me so mysteriously complex! Everything you do is marvellously breathtaking. It simply amazes me to think about it! How thoroughly you know me, Lord! You even formed every bone in my body when you created me in the secret place, carefully, skilfully shaping me from nothing to something. You saw who you created me to be before I became me! Before I’d ever seen the light of day, the number of days you planned for me were already recorded in your book. Every single moment you are thinking of me! How precious and wonderful to consider that you cherish me constantly in your every thought! O God, your desires toward me are more than the grains of sand on every shore. When I wake each morning, you are still with me”- Psalm 139: 13-18
